The rhythmic beats of traditional instruments further enhance the intensity and energy of the performance.
Watching a live Kathakali performance is not just entertainment—it’s a window into Kerala’s heritage and artistic depth. As the story unfolds on stage, you are drawn into a world of color, emotion, and tradition, leaving you with a memorable and enriching cultural experience.

More Than Activities — Moments That Stay With You
Frequent Questions, Answered
We address common concerns so you can feel confident, informed, and comfortable before choosing your additional experiences.
Are these experiences included in my program package?
Can I participate in these experiences during my program, or will they interfere with my therapies?
These experiences are scheduled around your core treatment plan and won’t interfere with your doctor consultations or prescribed therapies. Our team will work with you to find suitable time slots—typically during free afternoons or early evenings. Some lighter activities like Mehandi can even be enjoyed during rest periods.
Are these experiences suitable for everyone, or are there any restrictions?
Most experiences are gentle and suitable for all fitness levels and ages. However, Aqua Yoga requires basic swimming comfort (you’ll be in waist-to-chest-deep water), and Kalaripayattu is a viewing experience rather than participatory. If you have specific health concerns or mobility considerations, please inform us when booking so we can recommend the most appropriate experiences for you.
Can I bring a companion or family member who isn't staying at the retreat?
Yes, external guests are welcome to join most experiences (subject to availability and space), though they’ll need to pay the same participation fee. This is a wonderful way to share Kerala’s culture with loved ones. Please inform us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements, especially for group-size-sensitive activities.
How do I book these experiences once I'm at the retreat?
Simply speak with our reception team or your program coordinator at any time during your stay. We maintain a weekly schedule of available experiences and can add you to upcoming sessions. You can also mention your interests during your initial consultation, and we’ll help plan them into your retreat schedule in a way that supports—rather than disrupts—your healing journey.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule an experience I've booked?
We understand that your energy levels and preferences may change during your retreat. Experiences can be rescheduled without charge if done at least 24 hours in advance. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, or for experiences requiring third-party bookings (like performances or boat tours), a cancellation fee may apply. Our team will always work with you to find the best solution.
